California State University San Marcos offers a welcoming campus environment with a strong focus on student success, diversity, and community engagement. CSUSM provides a range of undergraduate and graduate programs. Professors are known for being nice, approachable, and invested in student success. Not to mention that they offer good mentorship for those in need. The class sizes are relatively small compared to larger universities, which allows for a more personal experience, and in turn makes asking questions easier. This is one aspect that has really helped me throughout my journey and is something I don't know if I would achieve from a larger university. The university has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, from students to professors. The campus itself is modern and clean. Students can find a variety of clubs and organizations to get involved in and offers plenty of spaces for students to study, socialize, or relax between classes. Overall, a great choice for school!

In this up and coming school, there is of course room for improvement. As the school continues to build and expand its community, the environment will only become stronger, including the social scene, as well as the academic involvement. However, in its short lived life thus far, there is undeniable passion from the staff, and throughout the students. Everyone there takes pride in their dedication to education and their future goals, utilizing the plethora of resources the institution offers. For those in need of financial support, or other necessities, CSUSM caters to those needs. Simultaneously, working on inclusivity and a safe environment for all students to thrive in.

I had a great experience at California State University - San Marcos (CSUSM). One of the things I liked most was the small class sizes, which made it easier to get personalized attention from professors. The campus itself is modern and well-kept, with excellent facilities like the Extended Learning Building and the Kellogg Library that offer plenty of resources for studying and research.
I also appreciated the diverse and inclusive community at CSUSM. It created a supportive environment that really helped me grow both academically and personally. Plus, the university's location in San Marcos, close to San Diego, meant I could enjoy a fantastic climate and lots of recreational opportunities.
That said, there are a few areas that could use some improvement. Parking was often a challenge, and the cost of tuition and fees was a bit high. I also think more could be done to enhance mental health services and expand on-campus dining options.
